Episode Six
Build Your Cancer Support Team
In this episode of Caregiver’s Guide to Cancer we’re talking about how to categorize the activities needed to maintain your household while also juggling cancer. We’re showing you how to build your cancer support team.
Grab a pen and paper. You’re going to want to take some notes to help you get organized. You’re going to learn how to categorize and prioritize. Once I give you the categories, you’ll need to spend some time listing all the tasks that fall in each category. Then, you’ll be ready to share those lists with your friends and family that truly do want to help you. They want to support you. They simply don’t know how. They’re waiting for you to tell them.
Once you complete this assignment, you’ll know exactly how to prioritze your time and how to best inform others on how to support you.
Note: We’re working on anothe download that will help you walk you through this process. Stay tuned. When it’s ready, we’ll update this section with a link to download some worksheets.
